A number of weeks ago I was considering what to do or not do during this season of Lent. Today, many seek to abstain from certain foods or habits, etc. On the flipside, others have sought also to add something to their lives that can be generative instead.
This year I've decided that for the 40 days of Lent I'll be making a drawing a day! You can stop by this blog to see new images daily and read some of my meditations on the season and whatever else is taking place in the pieces that come out of this time.
But that's not all! I want to sell these small drawings as well. 100% of the proceeds (minus shipping costs to buyers) will be going to a local movement here in West Michigan to assist women who have come out of the sex-trafficking industry. It's called the Hope Project. Yes, slavery is alive and well even in the so-called idyllic places. I will provide further information about this project over the course of the Lent season.
The minimum price for any of these three pieces is $100. Please comment/reply via this blog (I monitor all comments so I will keep it 100% confidential). OR you can email me at ed@edwardtraub.com and I'll communicate with you that way.
Watch for further updates and images of the pieces.
